The world's first NFT digital museum opened in Seattle, Washington, United States on January 14, 2022. The opening of this NFT museum aims to store digital artworks based on NFT (Non-Fungible Token) technology from around the world.
Peter Hamilton who is the co-founder of the museum said: "NFT is really just a contract that aims to declare ownership rights to some property. Basically, it's a contract with serial code that only the creators of the art have. In a sense, if you have the serial number then you are declared the legal owner of the artwork.
The NFT Museum offers a new methode for digital artists, creators, and collectors to display their NFT works in the real world, its mean that all digital works will be printed so that they have a real physical form and then it will be displayed in the museum.
All of these NFT will be introduced to the public with the aim of educating the public about what the digital art world is. It should be noted that not all works will be displayed in this NFT museum.
NFT or Non-fungible token is a unit of data on a digital ledger called blockchain. Where each NFT work can be in the form of digital files such as artwork, audio, video, video game items, and other advertising materials. While digital files can theoretically be reproduced indefinitely, those NFTs will be stored on the blockchain on which they original place.
With the existence of this NFT museum, it is possible to introduce more deeply the meaning of the artwork to the public, and all the works in this museum remain the property of the creator of the artwork.
