Magelang -German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier visits Borobudur Temple . One of these visits was to review collaborative activities between Indonesia and Germany, where the German government had provided equipment for making mortar and monitoring the drainage of Borobudur Temple.
Reported by detikJateng, the German President's entourage arrived at the Borobudur Temple complex, Friday (17/6/2022) at 09.47 WIB. The first time the group headed to the Borobudur Conservation Center (BKB) Office.
The group was received by the Deputy Governor of Central Java Taj Yasin Maimoen, Director General of Culture, Ministry of Education and Culture, Research and Technology Hilmar Farid, Head of Central Java Police Inspector General Ahmad Luthfi and several officials.
At the BKB office, President Steinmeier saw firsthand the physical laboratory and inspected the Memory of the World (MOW) archive room. Where the German government plays a role in providing expert assistance (expert) in managing archives for the restoration of Borobudur Temple until it finally gets the status as 'Memories of the World' or Memory of the World.
"After the visit at the Borobudur Conservation Center, the President is planned to visit Borobudur Temple and climb the structure using upanat footwear. Where to pass the Karmawibhangga Relief on the southeast side and climb the structure in hallway 1 through the east side to receive an explanation from the guide about Borobudur Temple and relief," said Head of BKB Wiwit Kasiyati in a written statement today.
According to him, the German president will watch the monitoring and evaluation of drainage in the west side of the aisle 1 using aid equipment from the German government.
